Priority Mail and fully insured. We also use delivery confirmation receipts.
The primary exception to this policy is for items offered for sale in the following
departments: Spoontiques and World of Products. We have found that it is more
economical for our customers to ship these items via United Parcel Services or the
United States Post Service’s Parcel Post Service.
In the case of items that are too heavy or too large to ship via this method,
the listing description states the alternative form of shipping that we intend to use.
All items are carefully wrapped to provide maximum protection during shipping.
They are fully insured to protect you and us in the rare event that a package is damaged
or lost during shipping. In such an event, we will work closely with the buyer
to file any required paperwork to file the required insurance claim with the shipping
agent such as the United States Post Service.
The shipping and insurance costs are based on our estimated actual costs to ship
and insure the individual item listed to customers within the Continental United States.
We are happy, however, to combine shipping and insurance costs on purchases of two or
more items purchased at the same time and shipped together and will work with you to
minimize the shipping and insurance costs on such items. The easiest way to handle
this is for you to include the total insurance and shipping costs with payment for you
order of two or more items and we will refund the difference between what you send and
the actual costs incurred when we ship your order. Any such refunds will be made by
Corporate check. You will never be charged more for shipping and insurance that the
amount quoted by our electronic store during the checkout process.
Alternatively, send us an email with the information about what items you wish to purchase,
request an estimate of the total combined shipping and insurance costs, and we will send you
an invoice for the total cost of your order.
Should you ever feel that our shipping and insurance costs calculated by the electronic store
are too high, please contact us and we will work with you to minimize such costs.
We are in the business of selling the items we offer for sale, not making a profit on
the shipping and insurance costs. We are a new company, however, and we realize that we may
occasionally make mistakes. As stated earlier, our general policy is to ship all items using the
United States Postal Service’s Priority Mail fully insured and use delivery confirmation receipts.
The reasons we use Priority Mail are we have found that the items we sell receive the best handling
using this method and it minimizes the time you have to wait for your items to arrive.
Should you prefer that we use another form of shipping, such as Federal Express for
overnight shipments or Parcel Post for heavier items to reduce the cost, we are happy to try
and accommodate you. Just send us an email advising us of your preference and we will provide
a revised estimate of the shipping and insurance costs.
Please note, however, that we are located in the rural area of a small community and that
services such as Federal Express, United Parcel, etc. are not always readily available.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
We are a new business and have limited experience shipping items to destinations
outside of the United States. We are, however, happy to be of service to you and
welcome the opportunity to learn more about international shipments. Our intent is
to ship items you order via the United States Post Service’s Global Priority Mail
and will provide you with the actual shipping and insurance costs upon receipt of
your email advising us of the items you wish to purchase and your mailing address.
We welcome any suggestions you may have for alternative forms of shipping that
you may have found economical for having items shipped to you from the
United States of America.
